Top 5 Games of 2020

Michael Ward

2020 was a pretty bad year I think we can all agree. Due to the pandemic, many people resorted to video games as a way to escape from the real world. So this year I’ll rank the best games I’ve played.

  1. Among Us

Among Us came out of nowhere, and took the world by storm. It’s addictive and tension-building gameplay took the hearts of many. While simple, the main appeal of Among Us is the social aspect of the game, something that was very lacking in 2020.

  1. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2

This game was a great remake of the originals. It’s music and graphics are amazing and the pure enjoyment of the gameplay keeps you engaged. It’s so fun making combos and landing tricks in this great game.

  1. Friday Night Funkin

This game is so stylish, fun and addictive. The music is amazing and the mod support keeps you coming back for more. Friday Night Funkin’s art design and rhythm gameplay makes this one of the best games I’ve played this year.

  1. Ultrakill

Ultrakill is such an impressive game because it’s made by only one person. The gameplay, level design, and music are so expertly done that it creates one of the most memorable experiences I’ve ever played. I highly recommend this game to anyone who likes fast paced FPS games.

And The Game Of The Year Is

  1. Doom Eternal

Doom Eternal is a 10/10 masterpiece that pushes the player to use all the skills they have to the fullest extent. It requires the player to think fast and make important decisions. It shows how important game design is when making a video game fun.
