It’s that time of year – masses of audiences are starting to flock back to the small screen. The fall season is back in full swing with the release of highly anticipated season premieres, one of the most highly awaited being American Horror Story’s fifth installment “Hotel.”

The season is the first of the series in which the main force, Jessica Lange, was not included in the cast (it is vague as to if she will rejoin the cast at a later date, or even make an appearance within the upcoming season.) Despite the prime time actress’s absence, Ryan Murphy would never leave his fans disappointed.

Dating back to as far as the wintry months of 2015, pop diva Lady Gaga had announced over Twitter that she’d star in American Horror Story: Hotel, causing fans and tabloids everywhere to go gaga. Months later, making her acting debut, Mother Monster is not shy of the camera nor a stranger to theater, as she has mastered all aspects of the arts, leading for her to attend the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.

The premise of this season is a blood-hungry Countess (Lady Gaga,) who has been afflicted with an ancient disease causing her to crave blood, in addition to coincidentally owning “Hotel Cortez” in a modern-day Los Angeles. Co-stars Matt Bomer, Sarah Paulson, and Kathy Bates play eerie pawns that work with the Countess. Other adored cast members Angela Bassett, Evan Peters, and Finn Wittrock also cross the small screen with their extraordinary roles.

With its premiere on October 7th, the climactic events that the series never shies away from are still in store. Co-airing with Ryan Murphy’s other breakout series Scream Queens, starring industry stars such as Emma Roberts, Nick Jonas, and Ariana Grande, variety is a key tactic for the head producer. The premiere managed to achieve 5.8 million viewers, the series’ second-most viewed premiere (behind Freak Show,) also managing to peak the amount of viewers for the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards.

With the blood-sucking hour long event airing every Wednesday at 10 PM on FX, viewers are bound to be sucked dry.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.
