Memories
Locked behind closed doors,
Stood the woman, fighting many wars.
One about her family, another about her life,
Another one, waiting for her afterlife.
However, there she stood, locked indoors.
In the past she stayed,
Worried, lost, and very afraid.
What she would give to change the past,
“Anything” she said, “Anything, if you asked.”
Still there she stood still, and prayed.
I miss it here, I miss it there.
Everywhere, I miss it everywhere.
But it can never come back,
So throw the memories in a shack.
Because once in a lifetime, these memories are rare.
