There is a 16 year old French basketball player by the name of Victor Wembanyama who has literally been taking the internet by storm. He stands at 7 foot 3 with a 7 foot 8 wingspan. He took the internet by storm when someone posted a video of him playing a 2 time NBA defensive player of the year, Rudy Gobert.  Victor made Rudy look like a little kid on defense, which is not even natural for a basketball player who is only 16 years of age . The amazing thing about Victor is that at his size he can dribble like a point guard, and can explode to the basket like he’s Lebron James. When he gets older he is definitely going to grow as a an elite talent.  Furthermore, when he is eligible for the 2024 NBA draft, he will definitely be the number one overall pick because he already plays on a professional basketball team in France which should definitely help him translate his skills into the NBA. 

Even though he is really talented, he still needs to develop muscular strength.  It would be a problem in today’s NBA because if a player does not have a lot of muscle, guys like Lebron James and Kawhi Lenoard will just out muscle the player and score.  However, with the right trainers he could build up some muscle, which would make him a complete all around basketball player who has no weaknesses in his style of play . I believe that Victor will become a great basketball player wherever he goes because he shows great leadership and he loves what he does.  As for right now, he has got to work harder and harder if he wants to compete at such an elite level . When I saw his highlights, they left me speechless, and in my opinion he is probably the best basketball player in his whole class. In his future, he will be the next big thing in all of basketball on and off the court. Whoever drafts him in 2024 he will be that team’s franchise player for a very long long time.
