img_3177-1Boo! On Wednesday, October 13th, The Freehold Halloween Spooktacular committee hosted the yearly Spooktacular Window Painting contest. Local Freehold borough businesses offer up their windows for this event and Federici’s Family Italian Restaurant donated 75 pizzas for the participant’s lunch while they painted non-stop. This year students from all six Freehold Regional High Schools and one middle school participated in the artistic Halloween themed window painting contest. The students arrived by 7:30am in the borough, by bus, with their teachers and painted continuously until approximately 2 p.m.  The window themes were from many different Halloween genres. There were movie themes, gory monsters, cartoon and book characters, pumpkins, skeletons, fall scenes, and almost anything thing you can imagine. Every window was a work of art and one to admire. Upon completion of the windows the judging committee, walked around and did their judging.

Marlboro High was so happy to have Senior Jessalyn Lu take third placed for her window “Scooby Spells.” Congratulations Jessalyn!img_3173
