Silence

Ishika Jain

Silence

Quiet, loud, deafening,

The longer it is, the more threatening.

An abundance of peace,

Or a myriad of emotions for the deceased.

Everywhere you look,

No matter what nook.

It’s all there.

In fact, it’s everywhere.

Deep, dark, meaningful.

Silence can mean anything.

Whether it’s good or bad,

It can make you feel unclad.

Silence is a crossroad.

Go left or go right.

Wherever you go,

It’ll only keep you on your toes.
