Throughout the entire NFL, season, injuries have cost the league, ridding them from major players in major moments. In this tough position, however, the teams are making big moves that can perhaps change their luck; teams are looking to make offers to many players.

The division bottom Giants are looking to further and better their squad. As of now, key components in their offense are injured, such as the likes of Wide Receiver Odell Beckham Jr., and Wide Receiver Sterling Shepard. With the loss of two major offensive weapons, the Giants are in a dilemma and they are forced to go one of two different routes. First, they can change their entire style of offense, or secondly they can trade of 2-time superbowl winning Quarterback Eli Manning, who is a liability at this stage of the game, and the team could look to develop quarterback Geno Smith on the bench and go into the stage of rebuilding. So it is to no surprise that their were trade rumors of Eli to Green Bay, or more recently, to Jacksonville, to pair with ex-giants coach Tom Coughlin. Whatever plan the giants intend to apply, the sooner the better.

Another story in the league are the dominant 8-1 Philadelphia Eagles, who are currently running away with the NFC East. Winning nearly every game, the Eagles are an offensive powerhouse with a great defense as well. Quarterback Carson Wentz is currently placed third in the race of total passing yards this season with 2,063 total yards, which shows exponential growth considering he was only a rookie last season. The Eagles already have a solid running back in LaGarrette Blount who has 467 total rushing yards. The Eagles have won a majority of their games in offensive brawls, and hopefully the acquiring of Jay Ajayi, former Miami Dolphins running back, they can now further their backfield versatility. Blount for the Eagles provides a flex option with power, key for short yardage situations, which can also provide many touchdowns. Ajayi on the other hand is more of an agile back who has burst-out plays. If used correctly, this running-back duo could pose a threat to any opposition. Couple this with Carson Wentz’s blazing hot start to the season, and you have the reason why the Eagles are the most interesting team to watch. In terms of the team, they have to be excited; the last time the Philadelphia were 8-1, they went to the superbowl.

The NFL right now, however, is all about supporting greatness, and there is no better form of greatness that Tom Brady. Tom Brady, for many years, was thought to be in his prime, but quite frankly as a 40-year-old, he may very well still be in his prime. In the span of 15 years, Quarterback Tom Brady along with Patriots head coach Bill Belichick have won 5 superbowls, which is more than any Quarterback has ever won. This season, the Patriots 6-2 record is not mind-boggling, but Tom Brady is still hitting his stride, and the patriots may not even lose another game the entire season. This season, perhaps the most notable injury within the squad is Wide-Receiver Julian Edelman, who tore his ACL at the beginning of the season, and it seems that there will be no return for him. Such a void can never be filled as Edelman is Brady’s target and aerial threat, helping the Pats to win 2 super bowls. However, the void can be partially filled with the off-season acquisition of former Saints Wide-Receiver Brandin Cooks, who much like Edelman, is a speedy threat to catch deep balls. Not losing Tight-End Rob Gronkowski also helps the Pats attack as well.

Another story for the Pats regards Tom Brady. As mentioned earlier, even though he has played 15 seasons as a starter, Tom Brady is arguably the best player in the league and 40 years of age. According to him, he can play till he is 45, but this seems to be unlikely. However, the patriots trade activity seems to have put them in a risky position. At the beginning of the season, the Indianapolis Colts lost yet another quality player in starting Quarterback Andrew Luck. As a result, a trade deal was set up with New England, and the Colts acquired former New-England Patriots 3rd-string Quarterback Jacoby Brissett. Then a few weeks ago, 49ers acquire Patriots backup Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who had a 3-1 start playing in the absence of Tom Brady due to his suspension. To make matters worse, Brisset, who struggled early on in the season, has come to life in Indiana, and the Patriots may have to settle for a less value back-up quarterback if something happens to Tom Brady.
