Peer Leadership’s Door Decorating Contest

Jake Ross

To ring in the New Year and celebrate the holiday season, Marlboro High School Peer Leadership Workshop competed in an annual Door Decorating Contest. Students from Peer Leadership selected or were assigned a teacher from the school and the task was to decorate the door. Being the holiday season, students kept to holiday themes and themes that evoke the time of year. Doors varied from celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, New Years, and holiday favorites. The doors were extremely impressive yet again and it reflects the impressive students and the work they do with Peer Leadership.

For my own personal door, I worked with Michael Coluccio and Anthony Petrosino. Our idea was to draw Frosty The Snowman and some children following him in a snowy scene. The idea was a good one, although the actual execution was not the best. We still had a great time constructing the door and making our school look ready for the holiday season.
